A 360 video booth works at a Christmas party because the mood is already there and the festive props do the rest. A V360 Video Booth is staffed, so nobody on the party committee has to run it. Guests pick up a Santa hat or a pair of Christmas glasses, step onto the platform and the camera circles them. Everyone leaves with a 26-second clip of the night.
Why it works at Christmas
A Christmas party is one night when people are ready to join in. The booth gives them something to do between the meal and the dancing and something to remember the night by. For a work party it brings different teams together on one platform. For a family or friends party it gets every age involved.
It also gives the organiser a record of the night. Every clip goes into one gallery, so the morning after you can watch the whole party back.
Christmas props
Every booking comes with a standard set of high-quality props plus Christmas props:
- Santa hats
- elf ears
- Christmas glasses
- Christmas ties
- other Christmas-themed props
The operator sets them out on V360's own prop table beside the booth, so you do not need to bring anything. Props held in the hands or worn from the waist up show best, because the camera frames the top half of the body. If your party has a theme beyond Christmas, custom props are £75 for 10 pieces on top of the standard props with the Bespoke Themed Prop Package. Book them at least 4 months ahead.
Song and overlay
One song plays on every video from the booking. On Paper and Bronze packages V360 chooses an appropriate on-theme popular song. On Silver and Gold packages you choose the song and the 26-second section of it you want. Song choice and a text or logo overlay are included with Silver and Gold. On Paper and Bronze packages both are available as paid add-ons for £20 each: the Custom Music Overlay and the Custom Text or Logo Overlay. One song still plays across all the videos. For text, send the exact wording and spelling. For a logo, send a transparent PNG.
For a Christmas party, Silver and Gold include choosing a Christmas song for every clip and adding a text overlay such as the party name and year or a company logo. On Paper and Bronze you can add either for £20. More is in personalising your 360 booth videos.

How the party runs
About a fortnight before the party the team contacts the venue to agree the space. On the day the operator or operators arrive one hour before your start time and set up discreetly.
When the booth opens, the operator guides each group onto the platform, positions them and positions the camera for every person. The ring lights and the room lighting keep everyone well framed and well lit. Guests are encouraged to dance, look for the camera and pose while the camera rotates around them. The platform does not spin. Each clip plays at normal speed, then in slow motion and then in reverse, so a Santa hat thrown in the air gets its moment twice. After the take, guests are helped down and shown their video at the sharing station. After your end time the team takes around 45 minutes to an hour to break down. The full running order is in what happens on the night with a staffed 360 video booth.
Small booth or large booth
- Small booth. A 1.5 m by 1.5 m platform for up to 2 people at a time, run by one operator.
- Large booth. A 2.5 m by 2.5 m platform for up to 4 people at a time, run by two operators because there are more people to manage.
Both need about half a metre around the booth so the camera arm can rotate safely, a solid even floor and a power plug or other power source. Wifi is not required. The full comparison is in small or large 360 video booth and the footprint detail is in how much space a 360 video booth needs.
At a big work party the large booth lets teams of up to 4 step up together with two operators managing the queue. In a smaller function room the small booth fits a 1.5 m square.
Your videos after the party
Guests download their own clip at the video sharing station on the night by AirDrop, a QR code, SMS or email. Their phone is not used to record. About 12 hours after the booking ends you are emailed a web gallery of every video plus a shared Google Drive folder for a bulk download. Both stay available for six months and no USB is needed. Delivery is covered in how do we get our 360 booth videos.
Prices and travel
Small Paper is £175 for one hour and Large Paper is £225 for one hour, up to Gold at £425 small and £495 large for four hours. Bookings beyond four hours are priced as a custom quote. The full list is in how much a 360 video booth costs to hire and on the packages page. Travel is free across South Wales, West Wales, Bristol and Thornbury. It is not free to Weston-super-Mare, Nailsea, Keynsham, Yate or Long Ashton. Towns are listed on areas we cover.
If you already have a date in mind for the Christmas party, check it with the team early.
